"My Tower of Strength in an Evil World!"

Hurt, anger, disbelief, shock--the sheer evil and madness of a terrorism attack displaced any personal concerns of our lives that day, September 11, 2001. It didn't matter what we were having for dinner, where we were going, what we would wear, or who was mad at whom in the family. All eyes were fixed on the TV; all ears on the radio--Americans were glued to any source of news they could find. It was indeed a sad, tragic day in the nation we love.Evil surrounds us every day - but on THAT day, we SAW it, we FELT it, we LIVED it. AND we ran--to our knees in prayer for those who lost loved ones--whose world was shattered and broken beyond belief. To whom else can we go in these evil days? God alone becomes our source of comfort, our Tower of Strength!
God will not forever tolerate man's inhumanity to man. He sees, He knows, He understands--and He still reigns. Whatever happened that fateful day, whatever happens tomorrow, He is still in control. Nothing escapes His watchful eye and He promises to hear the prayers of His children. Let us look to the Lord, our Tower of Strength, our help and our refuge in an evil world.
