"Christians aren't perfect; they're just forgiven!" What a relief--I don't have to have the perfect body, the perfect marriage or the perfect family; I don't have to go to the perfect church, have the perfect job, live in the perfect house or be the perfect anything; it really doesn't matter, for I am loved and accepted--by a perfect God who wants ME to believe and accept that awesome fact! Now, of course, He'd like me to work on all my imperfections (and never mind how many of them there are...grin!); He'd like me to be the best I can be--but you know what? I don't have to be a perfect TEN in everything I am, I say, or I do! HE'S my perfect TEN--and that's all that counts under MY name in HIS Book of Life!

But wait a minute...there is coming a day when I WILL be perfect, in His likeness, without sin, shame, sickness; faults, failures, shortcomings. I shall be as HE is! The resurrection power of Jesus Christ is my guarantee that someday, as I live for Him on earth, I will dwell with Him in heaven--in all His perfection and glory. Amazing grace--and an amazing Lord! Let's ALL run to the Well, as the disciples on that Easter morning, to see not only our risen Savior, but to hear what we shall be...it's the hope of the Resurrection and it's OURS...so hurry!

Resurrection Power Prepares for Me a Perfect Place!

We live in an imperfect world. Watch the daily news, the tragedies of the Balkan crisis, and every other crisis around the globe--and you know our world is not a perfect place. Sin, disease, death; hunger, hopelessless, hell on earth for many people. If Jesus does not come soon, what will our world be? BUT, we have the hope of the Resurrection...because HE arose, because HE lives, we too shall someday live with Him...in a perfect place--a place of no war, no disease, no tears, no suffering. Perfect peace, joy and love. Heaven is all that and more, for the Resurrected Christ in all His Glory will be in that place He's prepared for ME and you--and He makes it all perfect!

But back down to earth--the place where you live today may not be perfect--I'm sure it isn't....but you can have a little taste of heaven now. HE can help you to make your home, your place of work, your church into a blessed place where He abides. It won't be perfect, but He'll be there, and He will help you make a difference! Make the perfected Lord a welcome guest in the place where you are today, wherever it is--for His resurrected, perfected power works, not only in the future--but NOW! Trust Him with your tomorrows--AND your todays--there's a taste of heaven waiting for you now, if you'll receive it!

Resurrection Power Prepares for Me a Perfect Person!

I am imperfect (well, don't smile; you are too!); I have an imperfect husband and kids (well, don't smile--you do too!). We live and work with imperfect people. Relational problems exist everywhere, for imperfect people can create impossible situations. It all stems from Adam and Eve, and we've inherited their original sin, plus all of our own which we'd better 'fess up to, or we are in undeniably bad shape! We have difficulty getting along with others; they have difficulty getting along with us - and the merry-go-round never ends. But ONE day it will! Because of the resurrection power of our blessed Lord, someday we will know perfection. We shall be as He is, and in perfect mind, body, soul and spirit we shall worship the Lord forevermore. What a day that will be--as HE makes us all perfect!

But back down to earth--now the people you live with today (including yourself) are surely not perfect! How do you live with them--and with yourself? Look to Christ, the resurrected perfected Lord; ask Him to enter that relational problem and help you to resolve it. He knows your inner struggles, your marriage, family and work struggles, and He wants to enter the scene in His resurrected power to bring HIS perfect solution to the problems. He's perfect and He's got a solution....so don't wait for tomorrow's perfection; be willing to let the Lord work with you now--there's a taste of heaven waiting for you today, if you'll receive it!

Resurrection Power Prepares for Me a Perfect Peace!

Turn on the TV, read the newspapers, and you know there's not peace in our world. Look at the people you love, the people you know, and see there's no permanent, perfect peace in their hearts either. Look within yourself, and see the worries, fears, anxieties that you deal with--no permanent, perfect peace there either. Now, granted, when we know the Lord, He promises to us perfect peace "as our minds are stayed on Him," but our imperfect minds have trouble doing that, I do believe! Someday we shall know God's peace fully, completely, and without reservation. God's peace which we taste here on earth shall be fully known forever there - all because of the resurrection power of Jesus Christ. He, our Perfect Peace now, will be our Perfect Peace forever then!

But back down to earth--the emotions you deal with today are not perfect calm, joy, love and peace--unless you are different than the rest of us! We all deal with emotional ups and downs--and that's where the resurrected, perfected Lord comes in. He works with us and in us to give us His perfect peace in the middle of difficult situations and problems. The problems will continue--until HE comes and puts an end to it all--but in the meantime, let's trust in His perfect peace, not just for TOMORROW, but for today--and just watch what HE will do! There's a taste of heaven waiting for you today--if you'll receive it!

Our imperfect world--around us, within us, beyond us--is not everlasting. Jesus saw to that when He arose from the grave on Easter morning. He LIVES in perfect glory, majesty and power--and we shall someday live in that perfection also! Rejoice--He is alive forevermore, the Perfect Lord in whom we place our trust, the one who helps us in all our imperfections today and will perfect us eternally tomorrow! Then look out, world, for someday we will shout, in everlasting victory for you and all the devils in hell to hear, "Christians ARE perfect; we ARE forgiven; and like Christ, we ARE alive forevermore!

...and that's just a thought or two--from my heart to yours!
