Need a solid foundation of truth in your life? The belt of truth is God's way of providing the integriy and character you need to face the battles of life. He IS Truth and accepting Him into your life, you can know HIS truth to reside within you. We assimilate His truth into our lives by a close relationship with the One who says, "I am the way, the truth and the life." May you live in His truth--even when it's hard! Wear the belt with pride--and may His words of truth be yours this day.

So what's the opposite of faith? Fear? You bet--and we're all vulnerable, whether we're at home buying duct tape or on the field fighting the foe. Fear grabs you and holds on to snatch your very breath away--if you let it. So what to do? Put on the shield of faith that your Commander-in-Chief recommends--it's the best! Faith in an omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent God (He's there, He knows, and He has power) can be yours--even in the middle of crisis--don't let down your shield. That's when you need it most - to know HE knows, HE's there and HE has power to take care of you.

The Sword of the Spirit
"For the word of God is living, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart (Hebrews 4:12 KJV)."
A sword in these modern days of warfare? You'd better believe it--but it's not the best sword from the oldest medieval castle in our world; you'll not find it in a military museum or an archaelogical dig. It's God's Holy Word--your chief weapon against the wiles of the wicked one...not Hussein, evil as he is--but someone who directs him from Hell itself--your enemy and mine. Satan has no use for God or His people--if you're one of them look out, but do not fear. You've got an offense and a defense against Him--the Word of God. Hide it in your heart, use it to defeat the purposes of the evil one--and remember, "we've read the back of the Book--and we WIN!"

Dear Lord, we ask your blessing upon our troops in harm's way, and upon their families at home. Grant them your peace, power and protection as they defend their country around the world. As they face the greater enemy of their souls, help them to remember daily to "put on the whole armor of God" in victorious spiritual warfare "for the battle is the Lord's!"(l Samuel 17:47 KJV)." In Jesus' Name, Amen.
