Virginia Tech's a nervous wreck.
In Blacksburg all is black.
A gunman's aim is what's to blame.
Our world is out of whack.

A dad and mom can find no balm
to heal their broken hearts.
Our nation too needs Super Glue
to mend what's blown apart.

From searing grief there's no relief.
No comfort can be found.
The Easter joy of just last week
lays lifeless on the ground.

So on our knees, we ask God please
to make His presence known.
For in our pain and need to blame
we feel so all alone.
