Today's Daily Bible BoosteratPeggie's Place! by Peggie C. Bohanon A daily cup of water from The Well, each workday, Monday through Friday--to bring you His refreshing Word; to boost your spirit and start your day! Come to the Well and refresh your spirit, body and soul. There's enough for us all! Set Me Free!?! My son, the magician, designed for himself an "escape jacket," as one of his wild and wacky inventions. With anyone his audience, he would let you assist him as he bound himself tightly in this blue-jean/belted contraption and then watch your amazement as he gleefully and skilfully disengaged himself and in a matter of minutes was "free indeed!" No fun being locked up--unless it might be at Silver Dollar City's pretend jail we visited last week (see photo below)! It was fun because it wasn't real! AND it didn't bring back any bad memories--for most of us, hopefully, have never tasted a life in prison...or have we? I would dare say, "Yes!"--for the prisons of our own making, deep within, can bind us tightly, with no escape, no magical formula to be set free--we can be chained for what seems forever in the deep dark prisons of doubt, despair, despondency--or deeper still, in the VERY dark prisons of hatred, unforgiveness, shame and guilt. And who's to set us free? Corrie ten Boom once said, "There is no pit so deep that His love is deeper still" - the prison she endured for her faith was not of her own making, but she survived--by His grace. And it's that same grace that can set you free...if you will accept it and appropriate it for your own. You can be set free TODAY--if you WANT to be free--because of Calvary! Believe it--claim it--and be "free indeed!"
