Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...wherever in the world you live! I hear you're a chocoholic too - I won't tell a soul! Chocolate is good for the body - and God's Word is good for the soul: "O taste and see that the Lord is good...(Psalm 34:8 KJV)." So please join me for a few moments of fun, food and inspiration - it's all calorie-free (believe that and I'll sell you the Brooklyn Bridge) and might even make your day!

Night people are weird....well, I'm one of them. I come alive at night, ready to consume chocolate or my latest passion, Jelly Bellies - to play on the computer, to read, to watch TV, and now my latest, to do Sudoku puzzles...while the sensible people sleep!I read about a couple of night people - preachers - STUCK in the STOCKS at midnight. They couldn't munch on chocolate or have a Coke; they couldn't surf the Net, read or watch TV - let alone do a Sudoku puzzle. They were stuck...couldn't do a thing....
Or COULD they? "Let's sing," Paul said to Silas. "We don't need the words on the wall; we've got a song in our hearts!" And DID they ever. They sang praises to the Lord...for only God can put a song in your heart in the night--and He did! It resounded throughout the quiet, nighttime prison....these night people made sounds that reached to the heavens; the bass notes started an earthquake and brought an angel to their door. Slight paraphrase, of course, but what a night - a night of song, a night of miracles, a night of God's deliverance.
Ever have the Lord give YOU a song in the night? I remember some years ago being distressed over a seemingly impossible situation. In the middle of the night, God put a song deep within my heart--over and over the song played and I knew He was aware and watching--in the middle of the night! What assurance! He CAN give songs in the night...
And He'll do the same for you! No matter how dark the horizon, how depressing the happenings in your life right now, God is aware and watching, and He can give you a song in the night. MTV won't play it, it won't make American Idol or even your favorite Christian radio station, but it will resound over and over in your heart--and you'll know He's there!
Now how in the world does something like that happen? It's a "God-thing"--you can't work it up or even select your own song. HE selects the music, the Holy Spirit plays it and you are uplifted in body, soul, mind and spirit. Only the supernatural power of a Risen Lord can do that--and He will. Believe it--and have a great, music-in-your-heart, choco-rich night and day!
