Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...wherever in the world you live! I hear you're a chocoholic too - I won't tell a soul! Chocolate is good for the body - and God's Word is good for the soul: "O taste and see that the Lord is good...(Psalm 34:8 KJV)." So please join me for a few moments of fun, food and inspiration - it's all calorie-free (believe that and I'll sell you the Brooklyn Bridge) and might even make your day!

In another generation, when we used to actually USE hymn books, we'd sing, "I'm a child of the King, a child of the King; with Jesus, my Savior, I'm a child of the King."Times have changed - oh yes, we're still children of the King, the hymn books are still there - in the pews mostly since we all sing "off the wall" WAY more - but we are now titled "KIDS of the King...." and therein lies today's devotional. Enjoy the story of the "three kids" who lived for God, loved God, and crowned Him as King.....can we do less?
See Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, physical specimens of manhood and godliness--they're in the kingdom, ready to refuse to bow to the golden image. They know and love their God too much to compromise principles, to yield to worldly pressures. Their "gold" is literally tested in the fiery furnace, but not before they said,
"..Our God, whom we serve, is able to deliver us...and he will deliver us...But if not, be it known...that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the gold image which thou hast set up (Daniel 3:17,18 KJV)!And God did--the Fourth Man in the fire, stands with them. They are unharmed and released, a testimony to the God they serve. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, stand tall to receive a gold medal--from every Christian who has read of their unswerving commitment to God.
Past generations stood strong and tall for their faith in the King. Today's King's Kids can do the same. In whatever fiery furnace you find yourself, STAND TALL - remember, the three kids of the kingdom stood firm, the KING Himself stood with them - and He is with YOU this day as well! Times may change - but NEVER the King...believe it, receive it, stand tall in HIS strength and you will have a God-filled, power-filled, choco-rich time in HIS wonderful Kingdom today!
